What is Splash?

Pick something you’d love to teach. Pick something you’d love to learn. That’s Splash!

Volunteer instructors from UW and the broader community share topics that interest them. It might be a favorite academic topic, something connected to their work or studies, or even a hobby with some math or science behind it.

Middle and high school students choose whatever sounds interesting to them and build their own schedules for the day.

Splash began at MIT in 1988 and has since spread to colleges and universities across the country.

Have something you'd love to teach?

We're looking for UW students, faculty, and community members from math, science, and related fields to share their interests with curious middle and high school students. No teaching experience is required.

Join us as a teacher!

Curious about what you could learn?

Our course catalog will be released in late November, with registration opening in December. Space is limited, and students in grades 6–12 are welcome to register until we reach capacity.
